Highlight Reel of 2010!

Highlight Reel of 2010!
In pictures.. because my life is pictures.
So I tried to narrow it down.. but I really, really like pictures :)

1. Socials!
(the outfits, the friends, the music, doesn't get any better than that.)

2. Seeing John Mayer in Concert TWICE!
(this pretty much made my life complete)

3. Georgia Games!
(attended GA/FL as my first GA game. epic.)

4. My First Black Friday
(look at the joy on our faces.. priceless.)

5. Snow at the Lake house!
(one of the most beautiful scenes.. ever.)

5. The Summer of Chemistry
(the chemistry wasn't exactly the highlight. but taco nights with jess, moonlit strolls with ally, random ghettofabulous photoshoots, ripening peaches in the window, and carving our names in cement cancelled out the piles of schoolwork!)

6. The Snuggie purchase
(swore I never would.. but I did.)

7. Lake Days
(self-explanatory)

8. Surviving my first semester of Organic Chemistry
(now.. time to tackle semester 2!)

9. Hiking Tallulah Gorge
(if you saw the ridiculous amount of stairs we climbed, you would REALLY understand this one.)

10. Starting my blog and meeting all of you wonderful bloggers!
(I never ever, EVER would have thought people would find my life and ramblings interesting, but it means the world to me! I love reading about each and every one of you and I can't wait to see what 2011 brings!)

Have a safe and Happy New Year! And I wish you all the very best in 2011!

Christmas Catch up

Well the Griswold Family Christmas has come to its conclusion!!
We spent 5 days in SSI with a house FULL. And when I say full I mean FULL! We had anywhere from 6-20 people in and out at all times.. and this also included an 11 month old and 3 dogs.

Here's a rundown... we left our house around lunchtime on Christmas to head down and made it there by dinnertime. Around 8 we started getting texts from everyone that our hometown was getting a White Christmas! First time in over a 100 years and we MISSED IT! But our 5 day shindig made up for it.. it will probably be one of the most memorable Christmases ever!
We joked that the only thing missing was the camper in the driveway.

We took a family portrait while we were all together!
Our Aunt Karla, Me, & Mal
Daddy and Me
(check out the new vest ;) I'm pumped about it!)

All the girls before dinner the last night:
Mal, Karla, Mama, Mama Jeri, Me
Our girls: Mal, Mama, Mama Jeri, Me
Me and Baby Cooper!! My new cousin!!
This was our first time getting to see them because my Uncle lives out in Colorado and they never get to come home! Cooper is a BUSY little boy.. and into everything! But ALWAYS with a smile on his face.. I don't think we've ever seen such a happy little baby!
The day before we left we went around Brunswick to take some pictures.. if you've noticed the new header it was taken on this beautiful house's porch:
My grandmother's friend owns this house.. and I basically want to move into it TOMORROW. It's gorgeous.. if you're interested it's for sale. I can hook you up! (As long as you sell it to me when I finish Pharmacy school.. and occasionally invite me over to bask in it's beauty)

And last, but not least, I would like to wish my grandpa Dewey a Happy Happy Birthday today!!!
I love you D!!

P.S. I can't wait to get caught back up on blogger reading everyone's posts!! I've missed keeping up with everyone! :)

Bad Christmas Movie

True Life: I'm Stuck in a Bad Christmas Movie
That explains my lack of blogposts for the past few days..
We won't be home until Wednesday so expect a good post then :)

In the meantime..
We have a whole bunch of family crammed in my grandma's house and we've about decided the only thing missing is the camper in the driveway.

I mean even the cable guy and a Lowe's shutter installer man have been in the mix.

Yes, we are having a Griswold Family Christmas this year and it has been entertaining to say the least!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
I feel so blessed to have such a great family, stay tuned for a post describing the past few days!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Can you believe it's Christmas Eve already?!
Today we're going to be busy baking, running last minute errands, and packing.

After we do our Christmas Morning we're heading down to SSI to spend several days with my mom's side of the fam. It's going to be a crazy few days, because we're going to have a pile of people crammed in my grandma's new house! But loads of fun ;)

I always love Christmas Eve because:
1. We always go to our Church's Candlelight service and every year it gives me chills when we sing Silent Night by Candlelight
2. We get to spend the day with family
3. Santa Claus Comes!! ;)

Please check out the creative wrapping job mama did on that green gift.. can you GUESS what it IS?! haha

This is the ornament I got mama the other night at Lake Lanier nights of Lights

And last, but not least, little Millie in her Christmas sweater!

We want to wish you and your family a VERY Merry Christmas!!
and don't forget the True Reason for the Season

Hot Chocolate AND cupcakes?! heaven.

Today Mal and I got our BAKE on!
Her friends all decided to do something small for each other.. and so Mallory found these delicious Hot Chocolate with Hershey Kiss Center Cupcakes from Picky Palate.
(click on picky palate to go to the recipe!)

We hit up Target and Walmart to get some cute coffee mugs, hot chocolate mix, nail polishes, and the ingredients to make the cupcakes.

She's going to give each of her friends a few cupcakes and then the mugs with some fun nail polish colors. They're going to LOVE it!

We got back from the store and set to work!

The batter was delicious!! I snuck some pics of Mal when she was test-tasting it!
While the cupcakes were in the oven we took some pics:
me, mama, & mallory

And before we knew it, they were done!
I wish there was a way to send each of you a cupcake, because you really have to taste these!
They weren't hard to make.. so if you need a holiday dessert check out the recipe and try them for yourself!

While we were baking them I sent a tweet @pickypalate
(aka my blogging IDOL) and a few minutes later she replied to me.
Can I just tell you.. I am STILL on Cloud 9.

I'm dying to meet her. That tweet MADE my DAY!
It's the little things in life.. :)

Hope everyone's having a wonderful Wednesday before Christmas!!
