Just Can't Do it.

I cut corners where I can when I'm grocery shopping.
I buy publix brand, or Walmart brand for most products to pinch my pennies. :) and when clothes shopping, clearance racks are my best friend.

HOWEVER, there are a few things that I just can't sacrifice.

1. I'm a coke snob.
      - Pepsi products? absolutely unacceptable. And can we just discuss the hilarious names they come up with for the store-brand cokes? "Mountain Moon Drops" as a Mountain Dew/Mello Yello substitute. Is this for real? Dr. Thunder... and my mind is failing me with the others.. but they're all a good laugh.

2. I'm a lunch meat snob.
-I'm afraid I can't cut corners when it comes to meat. I have to have my Boar's Head sliced at the deli counter. :) (Thinly sliced might I add) The Oscar Meyer pre-packaged deli cuts make me feel queasy, they're so covered in juice. Sick. PLUS, Boar's Head meat just has such great flavor. Cracked Pepper Mill Turkey? Yes, please.

3.  Shredded Cheese
      - This is a new one for me. I've found that Publix brand is okay, but I tried the Walmart brand when I made an appetizer and it destroyed the dish. It just doesn't bubble on top like Kraft brand if you use it on a hot dip. It almost has a plastic texture, and does not make the cut. boom!

 4. Oreos
     - Store brand just isn't the same.

5. Orange Juice.
     - After having Simply Orange, it's just Simply the best. :) So I wait for it to go on the BOGO cycle at Publix and stock up!!! Best Juice EVER. and they're apple is amazing too. Store brand, no go.

Are there any brands that you just can't part with?
Please tell me I'm not the only one!

My Memories Giveaway

My Memories is sponsoring a giveaway of their My Memories Suite for one of you lucky readers!

I tested out the software and found it not only easy to use, but perfect for making things for my blogposts. It comes with multiple layouts for you to easily add your own photos and text. The backgrounds are cute, but you can also use plain white templates for a classic look. I made this one with some Spring Break pictures, I think it really jazzes up a blogpost!

I also love that you can make your digital scrapbook, then watch it like a slideshow or turn it into a DVD. Such a great way to document trips and memories. There are so many features that come with My Memories Suite that I can't wait to see what else it can do, and I'm so excited to be able to offer it to one of you!

SO, with that being said.. Check out the giveaway entries below.
There are multiple ways to enter, and I'm using rafflecopter to make your life easier! The giveaway will end next Monday, April 2nd and the winner will be contacted via email.

Best of Luck! (Click READ MORE to get to the entries!)

Important Day.

I apologize for being so MIA lately, but I've been trying to mentally prepare myself for tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow morning is my interview with the UGA School of Pharmacy.

It's definitely a VERY important day for me, as it is the final portion of the selection process for incoming Pharm. D students. Last year they had over 680 applicants, only granted interviews to 250, and only 145 were accepted for the incoming class. So being granted an interview in itself was an absolute blessing, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to speak with the Pharmacy school admissions team.

I just get so dang nervous.

I know that based on the range of GPA and PCAT scores from last year's accepted class I'm on the lower range. I have pharmacy experience, and some excellent recommendations... so I really don't know where I'll stand with the incoming applicants. My interview will literally be what can put me over the edge for an acceptance, and even then it might not happen for me this year. Which is so hard on me. I tried not to get my hopes up.. but I'll be honest, they're up.

I've already expressed on here how much Pharmacy school means to me, and how hard I've worked to get to this point. So I'm trying to remember that I've worked hard for a reason, and it hasn't been a wasted effort.

I'm trying to quit thinking about it, because I keep playing out potential interview questions and it just makes me more stressed. I know I'm as prepared as I can be. I know I have the skills it takes. I know I have experience necessary. I just want to go in, knock their socks off.. .and make them realize that they can't IMAGINE passing me up. ;)

So keep me in your prayers tomorrow! Send good vibes my way! I need ALL the help I can get! :)

St. Patrick's Day!

St. Patrick's Day this year doubled as a celebration for my friend Kasi's 21st
So we had a blast going around Athens, decked out in green attire.

and I loved being able to spend time with the girls I hardly get to see!

Some people get REEEEALLY in to the festivities. We saw multiple leprechauns and Sam got her picture with these two hotties ;)

Book Recommendations

At 5:00 today, my Spring Break will officially begin.
I'll be heading to the beach with Jasmine, planting my bottom in a chair, and reading to my little heart's content.

So, with that being said...
I need some book recommendations!
I've read all of Emily Giffin's books, the Hunger Games, Dragon Tattoo series... (I know those are frequently recommended)
so outside of THOSE... lay 'em on me!

I gotta load up my Kindle before we hit the road!

Broom Standing Up??

Whaaaat?!
Have y'all heard of a broom standing straight up on its own when the planets all align?
Jasmine was on facebook and saw a bunch of her friends posting pictures of their brooms standing up... so we tried it, and it worked.

but my question is: does it do this all the time?
and I'm not gonna lie... it's kind of creepy looking.

I mean... how often does anyone actually try to stand their broom up on its own?
Is this all some hoax and I'm so gullible I believe it?
I need truth! ;)
