MOH.

I've been waiting to post about this..
until Sarah got her wedding update posted on her blog.
Not this past weekend, but the weekend before Sarah came to visit me in Athens for a girl's weekend together.

When she got here Friday night, we got her stuff inside and then she immediately handed me an envelope. Inside was this...
and of course I said YES!!!!
I am SO, SO honored to be apart of Sarah's wedding day. It's going to be so special, and I'm looking forward to helping her get ready for her big day. Ahh!! I still can't believe she's getting married!!! December needs to hurry up, because I am just TOO dang excited.
The end.

The weekend she came was absolutely dreary weather wise. #notcoolathens
So we ended up being lazy, shopping, eating, napping... and the likes.
And no trip to Athens is complete with out a visit to the Varsity for an Onion Ring fix.

SOOO.. this is my first time really being in a wedding, and being Maid of Honor is a legit honor.  So if you've been in a wedding please, please, pleeeease share some tips for me! I need to do my duties and help make her big day as special as it can be!!!

I am SO excited! I had to just go ahead and give it to you cause I had been waiting 2 weeks already and I just couldn't wait anymore! haha

And Mama told me y'all were going to do my bridesmaids luncheon! That is TOO sweet of y'all! Thank you so much! Luckily we've got lots of time to plan, but I'm sure it will fly by! (Hopefully!)

How special and sweet! I'm so happy for both of you girls :) And what a perfect weekend to just hangout together! Shopping, eating and sleeping are my favorite things :)

I love this note - how sweet!

Something I did for a bride whom I was a bridesmaid for was to make a binder with all sorts of tabs and folders so she could keep track of all the receipts, etc. and she loved it!

How sweet and exciting for you!

A bridesmaid luncheon is a great idea. You also might want to think of a place y'all can go for a weekend/few days for a bachelorette party. And the shower - ask her mom/future MIL how you can help planning. If there's a big gift the couple wants, you could get all the bridesmaids to chip in. when my brother got married, the wedding party bought them their grill. :)

How exciting!

A thing that I loved as a Bride personally was knowing that all my BM were there for me and offered help on a lot of things. I also had my MOH come to everything with me, which I loved. Also, come the wedding day, have an emergency kit prepared just in case.

Such a sweet friend and card! You are going to love being a maid of honor. The advice I can give is just to be there for her on her big day. Make sure she eats something, help her pack her bag, make sure she has her makeup in a handy spot...then during the reception make sure she has something to eat and drink, and comfy shoes to change in to!

How exciting!! I was a MOH for my sister this summer, and the biggest tip I can give you is try not to get too stressed! I did a lot of the planning for my sister's wedding along with her and my mom, and honestly, I think it was almost as work as when I was the bride! But I tried to be present in the moment and just enjoy the time with my sister instead of let the stress get to me too much, and I'm glad I did. Because now I have special memories with my sister/best friend from last summer that I know I'll never forget.

Oh, how sweet!! My tip would be to try to not get too stressed. Take care of your bride, and help keep her calm. But, don't take on too much of her burden either. And enjoy yourself! :)
