Riding out the Storm

As you all know, the South was hit with some terrible storms this week,
and Wednesday night the tornadoes came through our campus town.
We live in on campus apartments and so our CA's had us all go to the basement of our building to ride out the storm.
I made my friend Sarah come stay with us through the bad weather since her roommate wasn't home, and we just had a grand old time in the jam-packed HOT hallway.
crammed in our little corner of the hallway
luckily, emily grabbed snacks!
We ended up having to stay in the basement for over 3 hours waiting for the storms to pass. And luckily, my finals were over.. but unfortunately, the majority of the people still had finals the next morning! We didn't get back to our room til 1:00am.
Em studying in the hallway!

How we spent our 3 hours: snackage, and trash from making Sarah's notecards.
When we got back to the apartment we made a big pallet in the living room for a sleepover.
I couldn't have asked for a better "last" night in the apartment!

You can never be too old for sleepovers ;)

I feel so lucky to have been spared from the devastating storms that swept through the South. Definitely be sure to keep the Tornado victims in your prayers as they continue to recover from the devastating impact the storm had on their communities. The pictures are absolutely heartbreaking of the wreckage left by the storms.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I can't wait to get back to blogging ASAP. I still have so much to unpack before I can be back in full swing!

Obsessed.

I know everyone's blogging about the Royal wedding today,
so I hate to be the 235409578th post about it, but I'm doing it anyways.

This morning I woke up at 3:45am with my grandparents to watch the Royal Wedding, and I am now obsessed. I want to have a British accent! I love the way the talk, it makes them sound so much more intelligent than my Southern drawl

It's so surreal to me that she is a middle class girl, and is now a princess! Every girl's dream!
The entire wedding was just so sweet, I constantly teared up. And her dress?! Oh. my. word. I love it! I would never consider sleeves on my future wedding dress, but Kate has changed my mind!

They are so in love, it melts my heart!

and the kiss!!! Oh they are so precious!!! I'll be looking at these pictures for WEEKS!

Basically I want to take a trip to England now, and I want to purchase a hat like every wedding guest had on (minus a few, in the words of Ally, some "resembled Lady Gaga").

and lastly, in honor of the Royal wedding, I thought I'd see how I look cuddled up with William. ;)
Kate and William make a better couple.
Maybe Harry and I will look better together ;)
I wouldn't mind a fairytale wedding, or becoming part of the ROYAL family!

And I've finally Reached Summer!

This school year has definitely had its ups and downs.
But amidst it all, we made the best of it in our apartment!
And now that Summer has finally arrived for me I thought I'd do a quick recap of all of the fun times we had!
move in day in August!
Ally cleaning the nasty showers we found upon move-in!

 Late Night Runs to Arby's

The day Betsy broke down in the parking lot and had to be towed! Which has happened again this week, post to come ;)

Baking treats!

Thuggin Thursdays

Hosting a Pancake Party!
 Sneaking fudgesicles into the Library

And who can forget all of the studying?!
I've never worked as hard as I have this year in school, and I'm definitely proud of myself! A lot of tears have been shed, but in the end it's definitely been worth it. I've made some great friends at my college, but I'm definitely excited to see what UGA has in store for me! It's a bittersweet goodbye.. but in the meantime I can't stress enough how happy I am to finally get a SUMMER again! It's been toooo long!

Life Lately

Has been full of Studying and Finishing off the school year
Friday was our last day of classes, now I'm only 4 finals away from Summer! Woohoo!!

In honor of our last day of class, my bff Sarah and I had ordered Chemistry baseball t's to wear. Check these hot shirts out!
It says "Got Mole Problems? Call Avogadro" and then it has Avogadro's number on the bottom.
Definitely nerdy.. but they were a hit in our Chemistry class.. and I think we rocked them.
And If you're wondering what the heck it means... Avogadro's number is the number of atoms in a mole of a substance. There! You learned something new! ;)

Then after class yesterday we went to see Water for Elephants to relieve some stress.
Holy smokes. What a GREAT movie! I read the book a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it, and the movie didn't disappoint! Robert Pattinson?! I swoooooon!!! He is so good looking, even MORE so without his white vampire make-up. I. Die.

So if you haven't seen Water for Elephants.. GO!!!

And now it's back to the books for me! I have 3 finals on Monday, and I prefer to study as little as possible on my Easter Sunday!

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter Sunday with your family!

Matthew 28:1-10
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

I can't wait to catch up with everyone's blogs when I'm done on Wednesday!

nose in the books.

I'll be MIA the next few days..
It's our last week of classes.
Meaning I have a Lab Practical tomorrow, a massive Chemistry synthesis lab project due Friday, and an O-Chem & Bio test on Friday.

So this is what I'll look like all week:

and during the weekend too,
because I have 3 finals Monday, and a final Wednesday.
And I'd like to send my college a big THANK YOU for giving us finals the monday after easter. That just thrills me beyond end (note the sarcasm).
However, one week from tomorrow my summer will begin at approximately 11:00am, and I couldn't be more thrilled!
Don't forget about me! I promise to be back to blogging as soon as I can emerge from my piles of notes and books!
