The Year is Winding Down..

When the semester starts to draw to a close I always go through such a mixture of emotions. 
Disbelief, because it always seems to go by so fast.
Stress, because there's not much time left to bring up those grades... and they usually ride on that last final.
Happiness, because Christmas and being home with my family is in SIGHT.
and finally...
Exhaustion, because sleep is limited.. and coffee is brewing constantly.

The past few weeks have been insanely busy, and I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to a little relaxation over Christmas break. I need it.

I'm ready for a little spare time.
Time to get some blog posts done.
Time to catch up on reading other people's blog posts.
Time to READ some books.
Time to satisfy my new addiction to Grey's Anatomy. (Netflix is dangerous.)

but right now, I'm thankful for all of my sweet friendships who keep me going each week.
My amazing coworkers who make me laugh, and keep work so entertaining.
Twinkling Christmas lights, and decorations.
and Surprise "just because" flower deliveries from a special person. ;)

He's a keeper.

Oh Finals...

My life right now = Spotify Playlists + Finals Studying

As soon as Thursday is over I'll have a slight break until my last finals on Tuesday..

so hopefully I'll be able to have legitimate posts soon. :)

In the meantime, I've been obsessed with Florence + the Machine for quite some time now, and I have to say GLEE killed it last night with this one. 

It's on repeat at the moment.

Winding Down

The semester is winding down,

and with that comes the chaotic last-minute assignments, quizzes, tests, and preparation for finals.

Oh my lanta, I would say I'm ready for summer... but I'll be spending it taking Biochemistry.  (Every. Single. Day. at 9AM.)

The joys of being a college student. ;)

So seeing as how I have an 8-page Religious Analytical Timeline paper due Thursday... I'm about to knock this bad baby out.

And hopefully be able to post more exciting posts this week...

I can't even begin to express how much your sweet comments meant to me on yesterday's post.

I was so hesitant to post it, and within thirty minutes after hitting "publish post" I was overwhelmed with so many sweet comments saying they could relate. Wooo! I feel so much better. Sometimes a vent session is all it takes.. and knowing other people have had similar thoughts? Peace. Of. Mind.

Anyways, I have a major test tomorrow in Biochemistry.

and typically I stress out like crazy before tests.. but I've actually remained pretty calm today. Which I'm not sure if it's a good thing, or bad thing. 

Let's hope good?

But at this rate it's looking like it's going to be a long night of studying.

with numerous cups of coffee.

 and the other night, during yet another session of procrastination, I put up some quotes above my desk that I had been pinning on pinterest. PERFECT for motivation tonight!

 See that one that keeps peeling off the wall? yeah, you can see the tape. It's about to drive me nuts, and I've taped it about six different times now. #sooverit

Back to studying...

Gettin' Things DOOONE!

Sunday afternoons I prefer to be lazy.

but today I have a to-do list a miiiile long.

I'm trying to cross off these things as FAST as I can so I can do better things.. like repaint my nails. ;)

  but having my windows open, and enjoying some fresh air on this beautiful day makes it a little less painful. 

And tonight I'm looking forward to starting this book [pictured below] that my small group is studying.

Life Lately

Has been full of Studying and Finishing off the school year

 Friday was our last day of classes, now I'm only 4 finals away from Summer! Woohoo!!

In honor of our last day of class, my bff Sarah and I had ordered Chemistry baseball t's to wear. Check these hot shirts out!

It says "Got Mole Problems? Call Avogadro" and then it has Avogadro's number on the bottom. 

Definitely nerdy.. but they were a hit in our Chemistry class.. and I think we rocked them.

And If you're wondering what the heck it means... Avogadro's number is the number of atoms in a mole of a substance. There! You learned something new! ;)

Then after class yesterday we went to see Water for Elephants to relieve some stress.

Holy smokes. What a GREAT movie! I read the book a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it, and the movie didn't disappoint! Robert Pattinson?! I swoooooon!!! He is so good looking, even MORE so without his white vampire make-up. I. Die.

So if you haven't seen Water for Elephants.. GO!!!

And now it's back to the books for me! I have 3 finals on Monday, and I prefer to study as little as possible on my Easter Sunday!

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

I'll be MIA the next few days..

It's our last week of classes.

Meaning I have a Lab Practical tomorrow, a massive Chemistry synthesis lab project due Friday, and an O-Chem & Bio test on Friday.

 

So this is what I'll look like all week:

and during the weekend too,

because I have 3 finals Monday, and a final Wednesday.

And I'd like to send my college a big THANK YOU for giving us finals the monday after easter. That just thrills me beyond end (note the sarcasm).

However, one week from tomorrow my summer will begin at approximately 11:00am, and I couldn't be more thrilled!

Don't forget about me! I promise to be back to blogging as soon as I can emerge from my piles of notes and books!

My Version of a Thursday Night.

Currently:

Taking a Study Break for My Sanity.

I can only handle looking at mechanisms of reactions for so long before I'm ready to pull my hair out.

I usually study in my room, or with my sweet O-Chem study buddies in one of our apartments.. but tonight I decided to hit up the library study rooms for some hardcore study time.

I'm not the best at studying, because I have trouble focusing.. I get easily distracted, hence the reason I'm writing a blog post right now. HOWEVER, I am a firm believer in taking periodic breaks because otherwise you get burnt out and "over study". This year I've studied more than I ever have since I've been taking O-Chem.. and I really love the class, but it really makes my brain a pile of mush by the time I finish my test!

What are y'alls study tips?

I would love to hear some.. because this test tomorrow is going to kick my tail!
