Today is my 21st birthday.
(yikes!)
I mean really.. where has the time gone?!
It's a bittersweet birthday, because of course it's exciting to be of legal drinking age, but at the same time it's the last exciting birthday there is!
I mean.. the rest are the dreaded "hitting 30" or "over the hill." (not to be a debbie downer...)
But I'm incredibly excited to be the big 2-1. (It's Nicole's birthday too.. so make sure you wish her a Happy Birthday!!) It stinks to have this particular birthday on a Monday.. because I'll have to be in my professor's office deciphering Calculus II this afternoon. (what a DRAAAG! I think I deserve an A for that.) BUT, My sweet Mama and Daddy are coming to take me out for lunch today after my classes. :)

I had every intention of posting my one-year old self smashing chocolate cake in my face... but those pictures are at home.
Sad day.

ReplyDeleteHappy 21st! I felt the same way you do when I turn 21, but I'll promise you, the best is yet to come! I once claimed that I would stay 25 the rest of my life, but I'm not even dreading 30 anymore :) I think once you hit the 24-25 range, life really starts coming together and every year, you get to look back at all the blessings.
