Blessed.

I am blessed.
Something that I so easily forget when I get caught up in my stress and busy schedule.
In my small group a few weeks ago we talked about a lot of the things we tend to complain about, and when you sit back and think about our typical complaints.. we're blessed we're even given the chance TO complain.

I mean really think about it,
when it boils down to it.. the majority of our complaints are first-world problems.
I'm a big complainer.
I complain about everything.
So when we started talking about how miniscule our complaints are in the big scheme of things, it made me realize I need to take more time to notice my blessings rather than cloud my vision with things I'm unhappy about.

Today's blessings:
Mason Jars, Sweet Tea, and a comfy couch to relax on.
Beautiful Weather.
Time spent with my friends.
Big T-Shirts and shorts.
Afternoon walks through campus.
Taco Night at the Apartment.
My loving family.
and a Cozy bed to crawl into at night.

  1. Totally agree Leslie. The things we complain about would be things other people would love to have. Great perspective, thanks for the reminder!

  2. Love this. We have so many little things to be thankful for and so often I am not! I mean I am, but I don't say it aloud or consciously think about them. Have a great day!

  9. I tend to be a complainer too. But counting your blessings like this is such a great habit to develop! One of my fave Run Blogs, Run To The Finish, is doing a 30 day Appreciation Challenge encouraging us to keep a gratitude journal. Since I don't blog everyday I just keep a running list on my bedside table. You should join us!

  13. Always a wonderful reminder :) I tend to complain more than recount my blessings, too. By the way, totally off subject but my husband is from Athens and his dad works at UGA! :)
